Cemeteries of memories

And if you should change your mind,

Know that I'll be first in line.

Even if it's half your heart you can lend,

It'll be enough, all my life, I will pretend.

Because I'm weaker than you think,

Worse than teardrops on ink.

But if ever you choose to come back,

A suitcase full of life, I would finally unpack.

Just so I can remember you,

I'd forget all that I ever knew.

Say goodbye every time we close our eyes,

So if you're gone, I'll know you were a lie.

Folklore

 Paperless stories,

A long forgotten glory.

Eyes I never met,

Words you never said.

The freest I could be,

A fool to look, but not see.

Safer in my silence,

Yesterday, it makes no sense.

Unwilling to be described,

These blanks won't be filled.

Questions & Answers

Why must you, lovely you, in pieces live?

Why must you negotiate how much they can give?

Why must you, fragile you, break on another's doorstep?

Why must your tears fall for promises unkept?

Why must you, brave you, go through lonely nights?

Wy must the embrace be your own, to feel alright?

Why must you, beautiful you, fear tomorrow?

Why must you forget that all my love, you can borrow?

Buried treasures

Looking backwards from today,

Wish I could wish you away.

Make you unreal, undo what was done,

You, a figment of my imagination.

Blur what little still remains,

Numb inside; never again will it pain.

Make an ocean, tear by tear,

So I'd be there and you'd be here.

Gather every trace of you,

Every memory - old and new.

And with love, boundlessly true,

I'll bury the treasure of you.
